Is America Wachovia and Bank of uninsured funds?

I recently opened Bank of America Wachovia account because I do not trust, and difficulty with; But my brother told me yesterday that both No insurance company will within two months. True or not means that if no insurance? I also have what we should open a bank account with? Should I bring my money in the bank in the country or not, please answer all questions you can . Thanks.

Both banks FDIC insured. . Better than open Credit Union account with more than a traditional bank. Credit unions are insured by NCUSIF and NCUA show that branch. Pretty much equal. FDIC.
